What is Exploring a Trade?

Exploring a Trade is a unique Dual Credit program offered in Semester 1 and 2. Students attend Conestoga for the entire semester. Students select a 1 or 2 credit(s) bundle to take for the semester, including a 2-credit  Co-op experience with an employer.

College course options vary from year to year, and are based on availability. Please see your guidance teacher for current confirmed offerings.

  • Earning over 70% translates to future exemption
  • 3 to 4 full days at placement
  • responsible for own transportation
  • PPE as required, up to $100 covered for boots
  • College Instructor for each course
  • Dual Credit teacher assistance in courses
  • Your Dual Credit teacher will facilitate your Co-op placement
